About Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets
Nick Mason is a drummer and a founding member of English rock group Pink Floyd and more recently Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets. He is the only member of Pink Floyd to feature on every album, and the only constant member since the band’s formation in 1965.
In 2018, he formed a new band, Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, to perform the music from Pink Floyd's psychedelic early years (pre-Dark Side of the Moon).
The group is made up of Mason, alongside Pink Floyd collaborator Guy Pratt, Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp, and Lee Harris (guitarists) and keyboardist Dom Beken. They made their debut in May 2018 at Dingwalls in London, before touring throuhgout Europe and North America in 2019. The band released a live album and film, Live at the Roundhouse in September 2020.

Mason was born in Birmingham in January 1944, and raised in Hampstead, London. He is the son of a documentary filmmakerand studied architecture at the Regent Street Polytechnic (now University of Westminster), where he first teamed up with Roger Waters, Bob Klose and Richard Wright in 1964 to form Pink Floyd's predecessor, Sigma 6.
He co-wrote many Pink Floyd compositions including Echoes, Time, Careful With That Axe, Eugene and One of These Days. Mason left the group in 1985. Pink Floyd reunited briefly in 2005, to perform a four-song set together for the first time in 24 years at the Live 8 Concert. Since then, Mason appeared with fellow Pink Floyd members David Gilmour and Richard Wright during select shows in London in 2006, and has continued to join Roger Waters onstage on occasion.
